Born and raised on the Connecticut Shoreline, with big dreams of playing on Broadway and conducting musicals, David found his way into the theatre, cabaret, and supper club world quickly with New York City being only a short train ride away. A classically trained pianist, David is a graduate of The Boston Conservatory and did some post graduate piano studies at New England Conservatory, yet he never wanted to be a classical concert pianist. Much like his stage “alter ego” Liberace - he wanted to be a showman! With his ability to play by ear and a fierce knack for imitation and copy art, he landed gigs with some of the greatest NYC celebrity impersonators - Tommy Femia as Judy Garland, James Beaman as Marlene Dietrich, Richard Skipper as Carol Channing, and Chuck Sweeney as Peggy Lee, as their pianist and musical director. “David as Liberace” was born out of a dare during these late 1990’s years of celebrity impersonation immersion, though he didn’t actually make it happen for himself until 2016.In film, David appears in Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead as Liberace Partygoer. You can catch this Oscars special Fan Favorite Award-Winning Vegas Zombie Apocalypse Heist on Netflix.  Off-Broadway he was the Orchestrator, Arranger, and Conductor of Timothy Gray and Hugh Martin’s I Will Come Back! at The Players Theatre. David won the 2000 Backstage Bistro Award for Outstanding Music Direction, as well as the 2002 MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs) Award for Best Musical Director. In 2016 David and Chuck Sweeney premiered their duo show Lee Squared - The Liberace and Peggy Lee Comeback Tour at the historic Bijou Theatre in Bridgeport CT. The show has gone on to play in Provincetown MA, Puerto Vallarta MX, Purple Room Supper Club - Palm Springs CA, The Metropolitan Room - NYC, Triad Theatre - NYC, Feinstein’s at Vitello’s - Studio City CA, and Judson Theatre Company - Pinehurst NC. Lee Squared - The Liberace and Peggy Lee Comeback Tour won the 2017 Bistro Award for Outstanding Musical Comedy Duo. David headlines as Liberace at Incanto in Puerto Vallarta MX, with the Mississippi Opera Festival, Hattiesburg Music Festival, Natchez Music Festival, Music Theatre of Connecticut, Norwalk CT, Pilgrim House Provincetown MA, and the Triad Theatre NYC. His show Lee and Friends which features special guest stars has played Urban Stages NYC, The Triad NYC, and Farmers Alley Theatre, Kalamazoo MI. As a professional stage actor, David played the role of Liberace in Brent Hazelton’s one may show Liberace! at Farmers Alley Theatre, Kalamazoo MI in 2018, and at Theatre in the Circle - Cleveland OH in 2019. For his role in this play, he was nominated for a Broadway World MI Award for Best Actor in a Musical, as well as the show being nominated for Best One Person Show.  David is currently touring the US as Liberace with The Greatest Pianomen - a 3 piano, 10 piece band Rock and Roll celebration of artists from Beethoven to Billy Joel, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Little Richard, and of course - Liberace. The show is produced by Broadway veterans Jeff Davis and Donnie Kehr.
